Google 8月5日由 Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai 與 Demis Hassabis 發布內部訊息，交代 Google DeepMind 的下一階段安排。Pichai 表示，Google 在 AI stack、compute、產品覆蓋及企業需求方面均有動能，Gemini models 在開發者及企業間需求強勁，Gemini app 已達9.5億以上 monthly users；公司會加快 frontier AI 工作，同時更集中處理 AGI 與科學方向。
職責調整方面，Demis Hassabis 將出任 Chair of Google DeepMind and Chief Scientist of Alphabet，並繼續領導 Isomorphic Labs，日常營運責任則交由 Koray Kavukcuoglu 承接。Koray Kavukcuoglu 原為 Google DeepMind Chief Technology Officer 及 Google Chief AI Architect，將出任 SVP of Google DeepMind，向 Sundar Pichai 匯報，負責 Gemini model development、Frontier AI research、Gemini app 及 developer teams。
Demis Hassabis 在訊息中表示，轉任策略角色後會把更多時間放在 AGI 的長期方向、全球策略，以及透過 Isomorphic Labs 推動 AI for science；他亦提到 Gemini models 會由 Koray 及團隊繼續推進，包括正在取得進展的新模型 Gemini 4。Pichai 另提到，Jeff Dean 與 Sanjay Ghemawat 將成立 independent public benefit corporation，聚焦 ML、science 及 engineering 發現，Google 會以 founding investor 及 Cloud partner 身份合作。
對工程及企業 AI 採用者而言，這次公告不是單一產品發布，而是 frontier model roadmap、研究組織及應用團隊責任線的調整訊號。後續 Gemini model release、developer tooling 或 API 變更仍須以 Google / Google DeepMind 的正式產品公告為準。
